I’ve Waited My Whole Life For This
What a wonderful service we had this past Sunday !! The music worship was wonderful. I loved all the songs we sang. I think one of my favorite songs is “Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord” The sermon was on my favorite subject, Jesus is coming back. Yes, He is coming back very soon. I am so ready, I pray you are ready to. To see that sky open up, and see my Jesus there, high and lifted up, coming to take His People Home. I can’t wait. Can you imagine seeing Jesus' precious Face and telling Him "Thank you for saving my soul." Thank you for all You mean to me, my Savior and Lord. What a day that will be !! But the baptismal service was so very special too. I heard the lady say, “I’ve waited my whole life for this.” For some reason, no one ever would listen when she would say “I need to be baptized.” When she asked about it, NO ONE WOULD LISTEN TO HER. SHE HAS GONE HER WHOLE LIFE WANTING TO BE BAPTIZED, BUT NO ONE WOULD LISTEN. I ask her do you know what it means?” “Oh Yes,” she said and told me how much she loved Jesus for what He did on the cross for her. But she said, no one would ever let me be baptized. How do those things happen? Are we not listening? Sunday morning she was baptized into the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, whom she had worshiped and loved all her life, now her faith was complete. We listened and she followed her Lord. Simple faith that says, yes, I will follow my Lord all the way. That’s what we as our Lord’s followers do. We preach and teach Jesus' death on the Cross so people might accept and believe and be baptized in His Name. Upon a vote by our congregation, she will become a member of our church.
When I got home from church, I kept thinking of that song we sang,

In this lady Sunday morning God opened the eyes of my heart and let me see Him.
High and Lifted up, Shining in the Light of His Glory because He poured out His Power and Glory as we listened to His Voice say, one of my children is speaking, hear MY Voice……………………… and we acted on His Voice and were blessed.
